The Magnolia Bulldogs have hired Temple offensive coordinator Craig Martin to be their next head football coach. Martin takes over Bulldogs after Sterling Doty stepped down to take the same position with his hometown Stephenville Yellow Jackets. This will be Martin’s very first head coaching job. The Bulldogs in 2018 finished with a 5-5 record just missing the playoffs by virtue of a 50-49 Week 8 loss at Tomball.

Doty spent the last five seasons with the Bulldogs as their head coach, collecting an overall record of 33-21 with back to back seasons of 10-2 records during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
