Dallas Lincoln hires Wilmer-Hutchins OC as new head football coach

Dallas Lincoln went with a familiar name within Dallas ISD’s inner circles to fill its vacant head coaching position. The Tigers will be led by Wilmer-Hutchins offensive coordinator Randall Johnson to take over the storied program. Johnson takes over for Jahmal Adams, who was 13-18 in three seasons as Tigers coach with two playoff appearances.

Previously, Johnson was the head coach for the Dallas Roosevelt Mustangs from 2014-2016 going 7-33 in that four year span. The Adams-led Tigers defeated Johnson’s Mustangs in the two head-to-head meetings between the two with a 56-20 score in 2017 and a 64-0 score in 2016. In 2018, as a coordinator during the season opener, Johnson got his revenge on Adams with a 33-0 win over Lincoln.
